2011 norton 360 sandown challenge review

2011 Review

Rick Kelly survived one of the most treacherous races of the year to win Race 25 of the Norton 360 Sandown Challenge.

Battling wet conditions that severely limited the field's visibility and caused plenty of chaos, the Jack Daniel's racer held off a hard-charging James Courtney to collect his third race win of the year. Todd Kelly also survived a late race battle with Shane van Gisbergen and Will Davison to claim the final podium spot.

The weather proved kinder at Sandown for Race 26 of the V8 Supercars Championship at the Norton 360 Sandown Challenge, but title leader Jamie Whincup wasn’t feeling so kind to his opposition with another race win – his 10th of 2011.

The championship leader dominated the 65-lap, 200-kilometre race in dry conditions from pole position.
