Will Davison and Garth Tander 2009 Norton 360 Sandown Challenge

2009 Review

Will Davison and the Toll Holden Racing Team began their tilt towards the 2009 V8 Supercars Championship with a strong weekend on home soil in Melbourne at Sandown.

Davison took pole position for both races – the first time he had taken pole in his V8 Supercar career – and controlled the shorter 100-kilometre race on Saturday to take his first win for the factory Holden team.

He backed it up again on the Sunday to finish second to team-mate Garth Tander in a Toll HRT 1-2, Tander having saved up his Sprint tyres for use in the longer race.
